What is Closantel Sodium?
Closantel Sodium is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic that, its roles are as below:
1. It has repellent activity against cattle, sheep lamellipodia, twisted haematode nematodes and some arthropods.
2. It has good elimination rate for most of the gastrointestinal nematodes, such as haematodes, nematodes of the supine mouth and nematodes of the esophagus.
3. Sodium chloranilide iodide can effectively repel canine hookworms, but not the larvae in the body. It can also prevent or reduce the infection of common round nematode in horses.
4. It has good effect on killing first, second and third stage sheep nose fly maggots, and also has good effect on repelling third stage larvae of bullflies.
5. Its anthelmintic mechanism is to increase the permeability of parasite mitochondria and uncouple the oxidative phosphorylation, thus exerting the repellent effect.
