Therapeutic Class:

Sulfonamide Antibiotic (Broad-spectrum bacteriostatic agent)

Indications:

Treatment of bacterial infections in poultry, livestock, and aquaculture.

Effective against:

E. coli, Salmonella, Pasteurella, Staphylococcus, Proteus

Respiratory, enteric, and urinary tract infections.

Dosage & Administration:

Poultry/Livestock:

Drinking Water: 250–500 mg/L (0.025–0.05%) for 3–5 days.

Feed: 500–1000 mg/kg (0.05–0.1%) for 5–7 days.

Aquaculture: 50–100 mg/kg body weight daily for 5–7 days.

Withdrawal Period:

Meat: 10–14 days before slaughter.

Eggs/Milk: Not approved for laying hens/dairy animals.

Precautions:

Contraindications: Do not use in animals with sulfonamide hypersensitivity.

Hydration: Ensure adequate water intake to prevent crystalluria.

Avoid concurrent use with thiazide diuretics or oral anticoagulants.
