YOHIMBINE 2% INJECTION

Composition:

Each 1 ML contains:

Yohimbine Hydrochloride……20 mg

Excipients (e.g., water for injection, stabilizers)……q.s.

 

Appearance:

Colorless to slightly yellow sterile solution.

 

Indications:

Reversal of sedation/anesthesia induced by α2-adrenoceptor agonists (e.g., xylazine, medetomidine, detomidine) in cat, dog and other veterinary species.

 

Storage Conditions:

Store at controlled room temperature (15-25°C) Protect from light

 

Shelf Life:

36 months

 

Dosage & Administration:

Route: Slow IV or IM injection

Dosage: 0.1-0.2 mg/kg body weight (adjust based on species and anesthetic protocol)

 

Adverse reactions:

Transient excitement, tachycardia, vomiting, or salivation may occur, which usually resolves on their own.

 

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to yohimbine. Patients with severe cardiovascular impairment.
