What is Gentamicin?

Gentamicin belongs to the broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotics, which not only has antibacterial effect on Gram-negative bacteria, but also has antibacterial effect on positive cocci, and also has continuous antibacterial effect at low concentration, that is to say, after the drug is withdrawn or the drug concentration is lower than the antibacterial concentration, it can still continue to inhibit the growth of bacteria in a certain period of time. The experiment proves that the effective concentration of cell membrane antibiotics determines the antibacterial activity of gentamicin, and during the dosing of livestock and poultry, under the premise that the daily dose of the drug remains unchanged, a single dose can obtain higher blood concentration compared with multiple doses, thus greatly improving the convenience of drug use and reducing the stress reaction brought by dosing or injection to livestock and poultry.
